"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frighten us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -- Marianne Williamson, from her book A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles (1992)

Color your world...with JOY!!!

I've always wondered what would I need to be.
In fact, my favorite line when I see happiness in things apart from myself
I would look at a friend, try to make the "Puppy Eyes", and say with a little girl's voice:

Ma or Dad...am I allowed to be happy?
I actually have more lines I use when speaking about joy or happiness:
"If I had", "If I were", "If only", and all the ifs and should've-would've-could've-s
after a missed opportunity for happiness.

But what I have learned is that JOY is not mutually exclusive with HAPPINESS.
From what I've heard, you are happy because something happened, happiness is based on happenings.
On the other hand, JOY is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

So that's why the adjective is joyful, because you can associate joy with man and happiness to circumstance. Therefore, with Joy, we can be happy no matter the situation.
With joy, we can choose not to worry and be happy.

Happiness is easy to achieve if you've got joy in your heart.

Smile before you leave this page! =]
